Made from palm sap this natural sweetener adds a subtle sweet flavour to any dish. The taste of coconut palm sugar is similar to brown sugar, but has a more rounded caramel, butterscotch flavor. It has a rich flavor, with a low melt temperature and high burn temperature. It makes it a suitable sweetener for confectioners. It can be substituted anywhere regular sugar is used.
Ingredients: coconut palm sugar, refined sugar, potassium sorbate and sodium metabisulphate.
Use a fork or knife to scrape the sugar loose from the container. It is very hard, and often heating it in the microwave for a couple of seconds helps also.
