Tulsi is commonly known as Holy Basil, and is held sacred in India by Hindus for its revered medicinal properties. In Ayurveda it is meant to help in conditions related to the immune system and respiratory disorders including cough, cold and fever. It has excellent anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Holy Basil is highly prized in plant pharmacy for its phytonutrients and contains essential Vitamin C, eugenol, linalool, ursolic acid, calcium, carotene and phosphates.
