These thin, crepe-like pancakes are filled or eaten with spicy potato fillings. This dosa mix is a blend of rice flour, urad dal and cream of wheat. Dosa mixes are much more convenient because they save soaking and grinding time. This same mix can also be used to make thicker pancakes called Uttappam, in which the batter is mixed with chopped onions and green chillies before cooking. Enjoy this with coconut chutney or sambhar. Cooking directions are provided on the package.
