Ziyad Middle Eastern Couscous / Maftoul Baladi (Ready-to-Eat)

A traditional Middle Eastern Couscous with Tomato Sauce. Maftoul or Pearl Couscous, is a larger version of couscous which is the primary staple food throughout the Middle East. Maftoul is a grain product made by drizzling salted water onto coarsely ground hard durum wheat to form tiny balls of dough. This is then dried. Maftoul is nuttier than long-grain rice, and the instant variety cooks in far less time than most rice or pasta. Try Maftoul as a main entrée or mix in steam veggies and beans, meat or poultry.

This pack also contains a separate pouch of delicately spiced tomato sauce to mix with the cooked Maftoul.

This dish is ready to eat in two minutes by simply microwaving the contents of each pouch or boiling both pouches in boiling water.
