Refugee
Refugee is the story of that universal thing that binds all of us, dissolving borders and boundaries, division and class - human emotion. It is the story of the agony and ecstasy, of hope and despair, of joy and sorrow, of hate and that wonderful feeling that transforms all ugliness to beauty and triumphs over everything - love. Ultimately, like all great stories, Refugee is .. a human story. Refugee (Abhishek Bachchan) is a young man with no name, no home and no homeland. He makes his living by helping other refugees across the Indian and Pakistani borders. During one such crossing, he meets Naaz (Kareena Kapoor). She is travelling with her parents, fleeing from Bangladesh in search of the Promiseland - Pakistan. For a man like Refugee, his clients are no more than mere baggage, he ensures there are no emotional ties - however it's love at first sight for Refugee and Naaz. Now they must overcome not just the social and moral barriers that lay ahead of them, but they also have to break all political boundaries and borders to unite and live the life they have dreamt of, a life of peace, love and togetherness.
