Pyar To Hona Hi Tha
Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha (Love Will Blossom) is the story of Sanjana (Kajol), a young girl who lives in Paris and is engaged to Rahul (Bijay Anand). On a business trip to India, Rahul meets another girl (Kashmira Shah) and breaks his engagement with Sanjana. Sanjana decides to travel to India to win Rahul back. On the airplane, Sannjana meets Shekhar (Ajay Devgan), a thief, who is carrying a stolen diamond necklace. Shekhar hides the diamond necklace in Sanjana's purse to get through customs. Upon arrival Shekhar is stopped by Inspector Khan (Om Puri) who is investigating the necklace theft. Upon arrival, Sanjana's luggage is stolen. Shekhar offers to help Sanjana find her luggage, so that he can get back his necklace. Sanjana visits Shekhar's family in the village where she learns about his dreams and aspirations. During this visit Sanjana and Shekhar become good friends. Shekhar promises to help Sanjana in getting back with Rahul. Sanjana's attempts to winning back Rahul are unsuccessful. She is heart broken when Rahul announces his engagement to his new girlfriend. Sanjana decides to return to Paris. She also realizes her growing attraction for Shekhar and he feels the same way about her. But Shekhar is under the impression that Sanjana still wants Rahul. Things take a turn when Rahul suddenly decides to come back to Sanjana. Sanjana is surprised but is not sure in her heart who she really loves. Who does Sanjana pick? What happens to Shekhar when Inspector Khan catches up with him? Pyaar to Hona Hi Tha features music by Jatin Lalit including hit songs "Aaj Hai Sagaai" and "Ajnabi Mujhko Itna Bata.”
