Namak Halaal
Super star Amitabh Bachchan (Vijay) stars in this story of loyalty. Grandfather Daddu (Om Prakash) keeps urging him to go to the city, get a job and thereby stand on his own feet. Finally he does and gets a job as a waiter in a hotel which belongs to Shashi Kapoor. He meets Poonam (Smita Patil) who works there and takes an instant liking to her. Meanwhile the manager (Ranjit) and his father have wicked plans to kill Shashi. Vijay goes out of his way to save his employer and the hotel and proves his loyalty. Amitabh's comical scenes and Smita's stunning performance makes this film one to be watched again and again.
