Henna
"Henna" is a story of developing human relationships within the national boundaries and it is an international love story that depicts universal and timeless emotions of love and sacrifice. Chandar (Rishi Kapoor) is a happy go lucky young man who is in love with Chandni (Ashwini Bhave). They are about to get married, but the wheels of time move in a strange way. On the eve of his engagement party, Chandar has a car accident which lands him in the village of neighboring Pakistan where an old man (Saeed Jaffery) and his innocent daughter (Zeba), revive him back to life from the brink of death. Chandar's wounds heal but he suffers from amnesia. And in the serene pastoral atmosphere, Chandar and Henna fall in love. Chandar regains his memory on the eve of his wedding with Henna. Its a supreme moment of Henna's sacrifice and the profound respect of her father that motivates the villagers to help Chandar return to his country. What ensues is a high voltage drama of conflicts. Does time provide justice for the habitual late comer? Do Chandar and Chandni reunite? Does love mean petty possession or sacrifice? Henna provides a simple answer to these complicated questions.
