Raja (Sanjay Dutt) is the one from whom every right has been taken away. His innocence, dreams, future, peace and his will has been snatched away, even his love Rani (Manisha Koirala) has been taken away by the cruel hands of few opportunists. An innocent life seeking Raja has been given a gun by his so called well wisher Vikram (Aditya Pancholi) to avenge but Raja starts loving by the gun and willy Vikram starts using that gun and Raja for his benefit. Surya grows as a handsome boy ( Inder Kumar) falls in love with Kiran (Tina), not knowing Kiran is the sister of an overly possessive brother of Vikram. Raja helps Surya to win his love until one fine day Raja comes to know that Surya is in love with Vikrams sister Kiran. Raja warns Surya of the consequences and to be far from Kiran but Surya is deeply in love and is ready to face any challenge, no matter how mighty he would be. Vikram learns about Suryas misadventures and tells Raja to finish Surya. Raja requests Vikram to let Surya go but fails, threatens Vikram not to touch Surya but fails, then dares Vikram. Old friends becomes enemies. Raja becomes a rebel with a cause. How Raja gives his life to give Surya and Kiran their lives - This is what Baaghi is all about.
